We strive to be proactive with our animal health care. We would rather be proactive and prevent illness than wait until the pet’s health was compromised and needed treatment. We recommend seeing dogs twice a year and cats once a year for vaccinations and physical examinations.
Dogs and cats make up the majority of our patients. We also see other small mammals such as rabbits, guinea pigs and ferrets.
Louisiana is a wonderful place for people and pets to live. Unfortunately, with our warm humid weather and short mild winters, it makes our environment a paradise for bacteria, viruses, fungal organisms, and parasites. We have available preventive measures to address most of these very common disease conditions.
