Associate Doctor’s Dr. Viki Panos
Dr. Panos began her career at SSAH in June 2007. She graduated from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. Dr. Panos practiced in Metairie, Louisiana with small animals before deciding to move back home to Shreveport. Her strong medical interests are in dermatology. She is very compassionate towards her patients and their families. She has a German shepherd mix named “Simone” and a cat named “Daisy”. Dr. Sabina Squires
Dr. Squires grew up in Louisville, Kentucky and graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Biotechnology from the University of Kentucky. She later received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida in 2008. Her strong medical interests include husbandry (care), internal medicine, dermatology, behavior, and dentistry of small animals and exotics. She loves to spend her time with her pets including three mixed breed dogs. “Queue, Miko, and Gozer”, a cat “Toulouse”, a leopard gecko “General Grievous”, fish, and a kingsnake “Lestat”. Her other hobbies include boating, skiing (water and snow), soccer, biking, tennis, and other outdoor sports. She belongs to the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Squires was welcomed to our practice in June 2009. Business Manager Kristi Calahan
Kristi (Dr. Calahan’s wife) is our business manager who holds a B.S. in Management Administration from LSU-S. She has worked at our hospital and at the Animal Emergency Clinic since she was in high school. Together she and Dr. Calahan have two Boxers named "MAC" and "Abbie", two Cavalier King Charles Spaniel's named "Macey” and "Copper"; they also have a rat terrier named “Chance”. VeterinarianTechnician (Pet nurses) Brooke B.
Brooke has worked with us since May 1998 and is our jack-of-all-trades. She began as a veterinary assistant and worked her way up to a full time Veterinary Technician. She is currently enrolled in a certified veterinary technician program. Brooke and husband Clay love to go hunting and fishing during their time off together. They have a Pug-mix named "Alex", two Rat Russell terriers named "Scooter" & "Daisy", a terrier mix named “Kloe” and a mix breed named "Tinker". Tiffany D.
Tiffany is also one of our full time Veterinary Technicians. She started her career as a vet tech in 2002 at an Animal Emergency and Specialty Hospital in San Diego. There she gained tons of experience working with critically ill patients. Currently she attends BPCC and plans on obtaining a degree in Business Administration as well as her veterinary technician license. She has several pets which include a cocker spaniel named “Sadie”, a pit mix named “ Marshmellow”, two cats, “Mac” and “Weeters” a rabbit named “Durango”, two chinchillas named “Phoeben” and “Rio” and a hedgehog named “Bleshoe”. Tiffany is our critter lover and has been with us since November 2006. Rachel M.
Rachel is one of our Veterinary Technicians that started as a Vet Assistant in March 2007. She works full time and is eager to learn new things. She was trained by our technicians, doctors and by doing some research on her own time. Her goal is to make your pet as comfortable as possible while in our care. Rachel is enrolled in BPCC, but plans to transfer back to LA TECH to finish up her animal science degree program. She has a lab mix named "Bear" and a Shih Tzu mix named “Oui Kitti”. Candice has been with us since May 2007. Candice attends LSU-S and plans to obtain a degree in Biology. She wants to be a veterinarian or a marine biologist. Candice enjoys holding the pets for the doctors to perform their exam. She enjoys learning new things about each and every pet. She has two cats and one dog. Felicia K.
Felicia is our lead Kennel Manager. She has been with us since August 2006. She began with our company as a vet assistant. She brought experience with her from another facility. She attends BPCC for Physical Therapy Assistant. She will be accepted into clinicals soon and will have to cut back her hours that she dedicates to our boarding guests. Felicia has three dogs, "Elsie", "Frankenstein", and "Bettlejuice", and two cats that found her “Chevy” and “Cali”. Receptionists Niki C.
Niki is one of our morning receptionists. She worked as a Vet Tech from 1995-2000. In August 2005, she came back as a receptionist. She is currently attending LSU-S to become a teacher. She has three dogs; a Chocolate Lab named "Coco", a mixed named “Ginger”, another mixed named “Oreo” and five cats. Niki adopts new pets to take to her large country yard. Niki enjoys spending time with her husband and two active sons when she’s not at work. Tiffany B.
Tiffany started working for us in August 2005. She started working as a Vet Assistant and is now up front as a receptionist. She currently holds a degree in Cosmetology. She enjoys assisting clients when they call in with a need. She has a cat named “Rascal”. During her spare time she enjoys hanging out with her family.

Bailey has been with us since September 2008. Bailey is a full time kennel assistant who loves spending quality time with pets during their play time sessions.
