We have two anesthetic machines. Both are equipped with patient monitors that allow us to hear and visualize (on a screen and printable copies) an electro cardiogram (ECG), respiration and also pulse-ox meters that monitor a patient's pulse rate and blood oxygen saturation. One of these monitors gives a read out of the patient's body temperature. The anesthetics (isoflourane and sevoflourane) that are used in the machines are the same that are used in hospitals on adults and children.
