Ear problems are very common in dogs and cats. For our patients' comfort, we have infrared ear thermometers at all three exam sites. We also have a video scope, which we use primarily to examine, diagnose, and treat ear conditions. It produces an image on a video screen that allows the owner to see exactly what the veterinarian is seeing. By doing so the owner can have a much better understanding of what is going on with their pet's ear condition. Ear problems are very common in dogs and cats. The owner will then know how and why it needs to be treated. This video scope is used to clean and treat previously inaccessible areas (the middle ear & deep ear canal). We can also take pictures of the condition, so the owner may see what is happening even if they are not present for the procedure.
